1 / 3Built interface — Recipe table
Overview
Automation Recipes is a library of small, finished automations for running a gaming community, each one a folder with a Discord.js command or a Node.js webhook script, a config file and a page explaining what it does and how to change it. They run on your own hosting next to whichever bot you already operate, and none of them depend on a paid automation service or on DistroSource being online.
The current library covers scheduled announcements with timezone-aware cron strings, role sync that reads a FiveM or Minecraft database and grants Discord roles for whitelist or donor status, a status channel updater that pings your servers and edits one message with player counts, a form-to-channel pipeline that turns a webhook payload into a formatted embed, and reaction workflows that move a message through review states.
Every recipe shares one runner, so you enable the ones you want in a single config and run one process. Logs go to a channel you choose, and each recipe has a dry-run mode that prints what it would post or change. A new recipe is added to the plan each month, and the library as it stands is yours to use from the first day of your subscription.
What you get
- Recipe runner in Discord.js and Node.js that loads the recipes you enable from one config
- Scheduled announcements with timezone-aware cron strings and embed templates
- Role sync reading a FiveM or Minecraft database over MySQL to grant Discord roles
- Status channel updater that pings game servers and edits one message with player counts
- Form-to-channel pipeline turning webhook payloads into formatted embeds
- Reaction workflows that move messages through review states with logging
- Dry-run mode and a log channel for every recipe
- One new recipe added each month with its own guide page
Eligible resources
The plan covers these resource types. Individual resources are listed in your Gaming Library as they publish.
- Recipe runner
- Announcement schedules
- Role sync scripts
- Status updaters
- Webhook pipelines
- Reaction workflows
Features
- One runner, many recipes
- Enable recipes in a single config and run one Node.js process, instead of a separate bot for every small job.
- Roles from your game database
- Role sync reads whitelist or donor tables from your FiveM or Minecraft database and applies matching Discord roles.
- Dry-run before it posts
- Each recipe can print what it would announce, edit or grant, so a wrong cron string never hits a live channel.
Compatibility and requirements
Works with
- Discord.js v14 on Node.js 20 or newer
- MySQL or MariaDB for role sync against FiveM (oxmysql) or Paper plugin tables
- Server pings via the FiveM players.json endpoint, Minecraft server list ping and Rust RCON
You need
- A Discord server where you hold Manage Roles and Manage Webhooks
- A bot application and token from the Discord Developer Portal
- A host that can run a Node.js process continuously
Updates and content cadence
- One new recipe is added to the plan each month
- The current library of recipes is available from day one
- Recipe fixes as Discord.js, the Discord API and game server endpoints change
