1 / 3Built interface — Smith bench
Overview
Crafting & Professions gives a FiveM server a production economy with five professions: smith, tailor, chemist, mechanic and cook. Each profession has its own bench, its own recipe book and its own skill track, so a new cook cannot forge a lockpick and a veteran smith earns access to recipes nobody else can make. Recipes take items from the player's inventory, run a timed craft with an animation and return a finished item with a quality tier written into its metadata.
Gathering nodes feed the benches. Ore veins, herb patches, scrap piles and fabric bales are placed in config with a respawn timer, a yield range and an optional tool requirement, so materials have a location and a cost in time rather than appearing from a shop. Quality is decided at craft time from the crafter's skill level and the material grade, and the four tiers, standard, fine, superior and masterwork, change the item's stats or resale value depending on how you configure them.
The market closes the loop. Crafted goods can be listed at a market NPC or a player-run stall with a price, a quantity and the maker's name on the listing, and a small tax on each sale goes to a society account you choose. Everything is stored through oxmysql, works with ox_inventory or qb-inventory and exposes its recipes, nodes and bench locations as plain Lua tables, so adding a sixth profession is a config change rather than a rewrite.
What you get

- Four quality tiers written into item metadata at craft time
- Gathering nodes with respawn timers, yield ranges and tool requirements in config
- Market NPC and player stalls for selling crafted goods with a sales tax
- Item and recipe definitions as Lua tables with an ox_inventory and qb-inventory bridge
- Bench and node placement guide with example coordinates for the default map
Eligible resources
The plan covers these resource types. Individual resources are listed in your Gaming Library as they publish.
- Profession benches
- Recipe books
- Gathering nodes
- Skill tracks
- Market listings
- Item definitions
Features
- Recipes gated by skill
- Each recipe carries a profession and a minimum level, so a player earns the harder recipes by crafting the simpler ones first.
- Materials with a location
- Nodes respawn on a timer you set and can require a tool, so gathering takes time on the map rather than money at a shop.
- Quality that changes value
- Skill and material grade decide a tier at craft time, and the tier can alter stats, durability or the market price.
Compatibility and requirements
