1 / 3Built interface — Overview
Overview
Server Analytics answers the questions a server owner asks after the launch weekend: who came back, when the server is busiest, which world people spend their evenings in, and what the TPS was doing when the complaints started. A Paper plugin records the events into its own database tables, and a small web report you run on your own hosting reads them back as cohorts, charts and heatmaps.
Retention is the centre of the report. Every new player joins a weekly cohort, and the report shows what share of that cohort returned after one day, seven days and thirty days. Playtime is broken down by rank, by world and by hour of the day, so a peak-hours chart tells you when staff need to be online and when a restart costs the fewest people.
Performance history sits beside the player data. TPS, MSPT and loaded chunk counts are sampled every minute and kept for ninety days, with markers for restarts and plugin reloads. A world activity heatmap plots where players actually stand, block by region, which is how you find the abandoned mall build or the redstone farm that eats a core.
Join sources are recorded from the server list ping and the hostname players connected through, so a Velocity network can see which forced host or listing brought people in. A weekly summary is posted to a Discord channel through a webhook. The plugin, the report and the SQL schema are delivered as files, with revisions while you are subscribed.

Features
- Cohorts, not totals
- A unique join count hides churn, so the report groups players by join week and shows how many of each week came back.
- Performance with context
- TPS and chunk history carry markers for restarts and reloads, so a dip can be matched to what changed rather than guessed at.
- Your database, your data
- Events stay in tables on your own MySQL or SQLite, and the web report reads them from hosting you control.
