Overview
Bedrock Server Kit is a Bedrock Dedicated Server folder set up the way a community server needs to run, delivered as files with a written runbook. The world is pre-generated with a spawn, the behaviour and resource packs are registered in the world's pack manifests, permissions.json and allowlist.json are filled from a template, and server.properties is tuned for a group of forty to a hundred and fifty players.
The start script handles what BDS does not. On Linux it runs the server under a screen or systemd unit, rotates logs, takes a world backup on a schedule with a retention count, and restarts cleanly after a crash. On Windows a PowerShell script does the same with Task Scheduler. Both scripts read one settings file, so moving the server to a new host is a copy and a path change.
Resource pack delivery on Bedrock has its own rules, and the kit follows them: packs are listed in world_resource_packs.json with texturepack-required set as you choose, pack sizes are kept under the limits that make phones time out, and the notes explain how to change a pack without breaking existing player caches. The included add-ons cover a spawn hub, a lobby compass, a rules book and basic anti-grief.
Every Bedrock release changes something, a protocol version, a pack format, a removed experiment flag, and the maintenance notes are revised for each one while you are subscribed, with the steps to update the binary, migrate the world and re-check the packs. Operational material, not a hosted service: the server runs on your own machine or VPS.

Eligible resources
The plan covers these resource types. Individual resources are listed in your Gaming Library as they publish.
- Server folder
- Start scripts
- Backup scripts
- Permission templates
- Behaviour packs
- Maintenance runbook
Features
- Runs unattended
- The start script restarts after a crash, rotates logs and backs up the world on a schedule, so the server survives a night without you.
- Packs that reach phones
- Pack sizes, manifests and required flags are set so players on mobile actually receive the resources rather than timing out.
- Release notes you can follow
- Each Bedrock update gets a revised runbook with the binary, world and pack steps, so updating is a checklist rather than a search.
