1 / 3Built interface — Retakes config
Overview
Retakes, Surf & Practice Configs is a set of ready configurations for the community server modes people actually queue for in Counter-Strike 2. Each mode has its own folder with the CounterStrikeSharp plugin settings, a server.cfg fragment, a map list and a note on which plugin builds the config was tested against. Retakes covers bomb site selection, weapon allocation by round and queue rules; executes adds set utility and a smoke helper for attackers.
Surf and bhop configs set the movement convars, the timer plugin and the map lists, with tiers grouped so a server can rotate easy maps at peak hours. Aim and prefire practice come with bot placement files for the active duty maps, and deathmatch uses spawn rules that keep players away from the spawn they just died at. A warmup arena config runs before matches on a scrim server.
The configs are written to be read, with each convar commented, so an admin can change round counts, weapon pools or map tiers without guessing. A mode switch script changes the loaded config and map list from RCON, and a short doc per mode explains the plugin dependencies and the commands players use in that mode.
Counter-Strike 2 patches change movement, spawn and plugin behaviour, and this plan keeps the configs current. When a patch changes a convar or a plugin ships a new config format, the affected mode is revised and placed in your Gaming Library with a note on what changed. Workshop map lists are refreshed as collections add or remove maps, so a rotation does not point at a map that no longer loads.

- Deathmatch config with spawn rules that avoid the last death position

Eligible resources
The plan covers these resource types. Individual resources are listed in your Gaming Library as they publish.
- Mode configs

- Bot placements
- Switch script
- Mode docs
Features
- Seven modes, one folder each
- Retakes, executes, surf, bhop, aim, prefire and deathmatch each have their own config, map list and tested plugin versions.
- Commented so admins can edit
- Every convar is commented, so changing round counts, weapon pools or map tiers is a read and an edit rather than a search.
- Revised after game patches
- When a patch changes movement, spawns or a plugin config format, the affected mode is updated and placed in your library.
